Last year I got the traditional and loved it. This year I got the traditional and cream cheese, and well, I’m hooked. The cream cheese filling is heavenly when combined with the soft, moist king cake. Also, their icing is smooth and tasty. Definitely a must buy for years to come!

My cajun boss in Charlotte NC received one of these traditional cream cheese cakes a few years ago at the office and we all enjoyed the cake. It was phenomenal. Can’t wait to get this… The absolute best.

Received my order yesterday and my King Cake is half gone already. Fantastic! The cake is delicious and the service is great. Can’t wait to order another one next year!

  4. Kristin

The cake arrived on time and fresh! It was fun to decorate the cake with the icing and sugar – there was more than enough!

  5. Dawn Cheek-Wooten

The cake came on time and was delicious! The only complaint I have is that there was hardly any cream cheese filling in it. It actually became a huge discussion at work as to whether there was really any filling in there or not. Other than that, it was great!

I ordered this for a family Fat Tuesday party. We were all very impressed with this king cake. Definitely one of the best Ive ever eaten. We had the cake shipped and it was early arriving and very easy to apply icing and sprinkles. We will certainly plan to order again!

Always pleased. I loved living in Louisiana. I missed King Cakes and I was looking to start our own family tradition for Fat Tuesday. They deliver on the day I request. Very Very Good.

Disappointed this year. We have ordered for several years but this time wasn’t as good. The icing and spinkles come with the cake, not on it. That’s somewhat of a hassle. Also, in the past, the baby has been with the cake, not already in the cake. Usually we have to put the baby in, so one person knows it location. This year, no one go the baby because we apparently didn’t cut the right part of the cake.

The cake itself was OK, but seemed drier than in years past.

Served this at luncheon and it was a hit. There was no baby, and the orange sprinkles emptied during shipping. Nevertheless, the cake was delicious!!

Ordered one traditional and one cream cheese filled cake for the first time since I could not get through to both Haydel or Sucree. Both were shipped and arrived in the most timely fashion and were delicious. You are my go to bakery from now on!

The cake was delivered in perfect shape…and it is delicious. Believe it or not, the first slice we served had the Baby Jesus!! This is a wonderful tradition and a fabulous cake.

My husband ordered the creamcheese one last year because he knows how much i love them. I cant get one here in Houston – well not a real one lol. Anyways it was muy delicioso 🙂 I see why the icing & sprinkle toppings come with & not on it – it makes it that much more fresh. Ordering another now 🙂 🙂

Due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews of this shop, and this cake in particular, my boyfriend decided to order this cake to be delivered just after Marci Gras. I was hesitant due to the exorbitant shipping costs ($30 for standard shipping with FedEx, of all companies?), but he insisted after an anecdote I told him about my childhood experience with king cake. Right before the order was due to ship, a massive snowstorm hit, delaying the order two weeks. We were slightly bummed, but still excited.

That excitement soured when we finally received it—a full five days after it was shipped, and no telling how long after it was made. The box was completely obliterated, the sprinkles and frosting were carelessly thrown in and exploded everywhere, leaving us with a sticky, unappetizing mess. After spending $60+ dollars, we weren’t ready to let that dissuade us, but we should have. The cake was bland while being cloyingly sweet. We tried with and without frosting, and it just tasted stale and unappetizing. I couldn’t progress past two bites. My boyfriend, bless him, tried numerous times to eat the cake, but we ended up throwing the majority of it out. Never again. Maybe this was a fluke, but all in all, the end product did not come close to justifying the price. There was no love or care put into the cake or packaging before its journey (I wish I could post the picture of how it arrived, as it looks nothing like the gorgeous photos posted on the website!). Save yourself the hassle and small fortune and either try other companies or copycat recipes online if you have the time and patience.
